Orchard Facilities Management directors Gareth Henderson and Neil Ewing are getting back on their bikes this year for the annual Pedal for Pounds charity fundraiser to raise money for two great local causes.
They’ll be tackling a hilly 215 mile stretch of country, pedaling from Carlisle to Huddersfield via Lancaster and Liverpool in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and HTAFC Academy.
Setting out from Carlisle United’s Brunton Park on Wednesday May 4, Gareth, Neil and their fellow Pedal for Pounds cyclists will arrive back at PPG Canalside on the Friday to a warm welcome from family and friends ahead of a lap of honour at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday where fans will be gathered for Town’s last match of the season versus Brentford.
This is the fourth year Gareth and Neil have taken part in Pedal for Pounds and they are hoping their efforts will once again contribute to the hundreds of thousands of pounds the event has raised for YAA and HTAFC Academy since it started.
It’s going to be a tough course but these are two very worthy charities and any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
