Orchard Facilities Management has been revealed as the sponsor for this year’s Overgate Colour Run, one of the hospice’s biggest annual fundraisers attracting around 1,800 participants.
The Overgate Colour Run is a family-friendly 5K that sees participants showered in coloured paint as they run, walk, skip or jump round the course. Registration is now open for the 2017 fun run at Savile Park on July 8.
Faye Henderson, senior corporate fundraiser at Overgate Hospice, said: “The Colour Run is lots of fun to organise and take part in and we’re delighted to have such a high profile local company as our event sponsor.
“Orchard’s financial input will help us cover the administrative costs involved in putting on the event so that more money raised through sponsorship can go direct to frontline care at the hospice.”
Orchard Facilities Management works with businesses nationwide to manage their waste management, cleaning and building maintenance, alarm and electrical testing and certification, IT and data services, site security, pest control and compliance reporting. By offering a complete facilities management solution they make it possible for organisations to outsource every aspect of their operational and regulatory needs with one single point of contact.
Gareth Henderson, managing director of Orchard Facilities Management, said: “Orchard has a longstanding partnership with Overgate Hospice which includes using our expertise to minimise facilities management costs, including waste, so that as much money as possible goes towards patient care.
“We’re delighted to be expanding that partnership in 2017 by sponsoring the Colour Run, which is a real family event and one that many of our staff have taken part in and enjoyed over the years.
“We’ll be encouraging as many of our colleagues and friends to sign up this year to make this the biggest and best Overgate Colour Run yet!”
