Staff at Orchard Facilities Management are kicking off a month of soccer inspired fundraising in support of Overgate Hospice to coincide with the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
Orchard FM’s directors will be dishing up breakfasts in return for donations, there will be dress down days, a staff sweepstake and plenty of other Euro themed events running up to July’s final.
“The idea is to generate some team spirit in the office during the Euros at the same time as raising money for a really worthy local cause,” said Orchard’s managing director Gareth Henderson.
Orchard has strong ties with Overgate Hospice and manages waste services at the hospice itself and its charity shops to help reduce running costs.
“By streamlining the administration of waste services and sourcing the most competitive supplier prices we can make sure more of the hospice’s funds and donations go directly to patient care,” said Gareth.
“Overgate Hospice provides an important and valued service for those with progressive and life limiting illnesses such as cancer or multiple sclerosis, in the Calderdale district and we’re hoping to raise as much cash as possible for the charity between now and the final whistle on July 10.”
Tracey Broadbent of Overgate Hospice said:
“The Orchard team always go the extra mile for us ensuring we don’t spend more than we need to on waste services and we’re thrilled that they have chosen to support us with their Euro 2016 fundraising.”
